Notes about the songs
1. The Dream
Music & lyrics by, Ken DeAngelis

This song was born following a conversation with Julie about the role of
music in our personal lives. We both have had the dream of pursuing music
and making it our careers, but that dream had at times through the years
had been obscured and abandoned, and at other times it was a clear destination.
In the lyrics of this song, I talk about that dream, metaphorically likening
it to a sailboat on the ocean. We never know exactly where it will lead
us.
2. Falling Star (Sarah’s lullaby) In Sarah’s memory
Music & lyrics by Ken DeAngelis

This song was written for a friend of mine who lost his young daughter
to leukemia. I remembered one night as a child, watching a falling star
with my mother. I asked her what it was, because it frightened me. She
told me that a falling star represented a soul going to heaven. That when
a person died, the soul became a star that fell through the sky into God's
hands. I believed that story then as I do today.
3. Take Me For What I Am

This song was born as a result of an argument. I believe the message should
be the credo of every couple.
4. Great Neck Farewell
Music & lyrics by Ken DeAngelis

I wrote this song specifically for Julie to sing. It is about leaving her childhood home in Great Neck Long Island. It was a heartrending experience for her when her mother decided to sell the family home and move. The home was full of memories and had been the meeting place for family reunions through the years. Her room was almost the same as when she left it. I thought this song might help her with the closure of having to say goodbye.
